Celaena Sardothien is Adarlan's most feared assassin. As part of the Assassin's Guild, her allegiance is to her master, Arobynn Hamel, yet Celaena listens to no one and trusts only her fellow killer-for-hire, Sam. In these action-packed novellas - together in one edition for the first time - Celaena embarks on five daring missions. They take her from remote islands to hostile deserts, where she fights to liberate slaves and seeks to avenge the tyrannous. But she is acting against Arobynn's orders and could suffer an unimaginable punishment for such treachery. Will Celaena ever be truly free? Explore the dark underworld of this kick-ass heroine to find out.

I am almost halfway, and I am very much loving it! I don't read novellas or prequels but I'm glad I forced myself to read this one.

While Celaena is still learning to have "proper" social skills (whatever that means), it's interesting to know her story prior to Endovier. And dear Sam, I know what happened to him as per Throne of Glass, but I'm dying to know how. Also, I cannot wait to find out the extent of his relationship with Celaena. So basically, I just want to torture myself with their story.

But yeah, I am excited to finish The Assassin's Blade and I am thinking of rereading Throne of Glass soon just because.
